Made the trek to Silver River yesterday. Always a beautiful paddle - saw lots of alligators, a manatee and the troupe of feral rhesus macaques that the area is famous for. Oh and one of the largest springs in the state!
I’ve been right there a couple of times in a kayak. Wish I were there now.

Evening at Hunting Island. Wow!
Early evening , Hunting Island
Our daughter took these last weekend.
Up the Jervis,
sky kisses water glassine,
where hazy hillsides hover,
to reflect in marine,
paddle blades from catch,
draw up the droplet curl,
which wakes a pendant wave,
by aerated unfurl,
Princess Louisa awaits,
her hush in pristine lochs,
till water has its say,
and falls in chatterbox.
I hover water,
like the mist,
an inclination,
I’ll cross as wisp.
That is simply beautiful. You have such a talent. Your poems with peoples pretty pictures would make a lovely book. I would buy one.

Well, looks like it’ll be carry out tonight.
They are tracks. Noticed them last Saturday when checking out Sturgeon Bay. Just not sure if they’re truck or ATV tracks. Either one is chancy.
