high-n-dry in the sunset,

than when she’s low and little wet
With Rasta-braided tendrils,
light tresses up the sun.
Upon an earthly shoulder,
each day’s new heading run.
What are those first couple yaks? They are pretty.
Yellow/orange is Vaäg, red is Vitäl – both from Boreal Design. The third in blue is a modified (with watertight hatches) Mariner Elan, truly an exceptional kayak.
That fifth kayak from the foreground is color schemed similarly to an Impex Diamanti a friend used to paddle, although those interesting chine lines seem quite different.
However, that red poly Necky is quite intimidating, in that obviously the lady captain of said vessel clearly is not be trifled with in the obedience department.
A lovely lineup of not so usual Mr. Blue, Mr. Red, Mr. Orange, etc. suspects.
That fifth kayak is a kevlar Looksha IV.
And the Necky … excellent catch on that one!
Ah, took me a bit to find it.
Over 450 boats launched in about an hour make for a “pretty” congested picture. We often paddle this stretch of river and never see another for 6 hours so the contrast of all the colorful boats was something different.
