And a few off Gulfport Harbor about 72 hours before Ida visits the northern Gulf of Mexico. We only get over 3 foot waves when tropical systems pass. Today’s 3 footers were fun with a couple that reached 4 ft. They should grow tomorrow, but alas T-storms are anticipated also all day.
I enjoy lumpy water too.

After all those fine carbon fiber constructs of Mr. Diller, seems like a beautiful wooden hull glides you here. (I really enjoy the image’s mesh of the lily pads and timber.) Is that a Dak guidebook? Looks like an octagonal oar shaft outboard.
Indeed it is…. Very astute observation!
I’m competing in the Guideboat class of the Adk 90 miler this year so a lot of this years pix are from a guideboat seat…
That photo is most excellent, darkstar.
Stunning
Yours as well! Love the mystery
There is this passage into gloaming where you pause in your headway,
where you linger before horizon which calls to you to come it’s way.
Perhaps it’s tinge of melancholy which seasons journey nearing end,
as if to hold before life’s beauty as the light there starts round bend.
Fitting and sweet.
