Stayed away from this thread after participating in the other one. Checked in a couple of times, and realized this was a potential waste of time. I tried to get him to tone it down with a couple of friendly posts pointing out the behavior in the other thread. It seemed to work for a while, and he even acknowledged his part in the thread going off track. When he did so I thought good for him. However, he seems to take affront when the more experienced women on the site point out stuff he doesn’t want to hear.
I understand not having the money to spend and trying to stay on the cheap. Somethings may be a false economy, but if you don’t have the money to spare they can be attractive. Then again some things that don’t cost much will do the job.
I think many of his comebacks he thinks are cute or witty, and may not realize it is off putting. As long as he plays that game, perhaps it’s best to ignore him. However, he did ask for advice, and he got honest responses from some of the most experienced and helpful folks here. Too bad he thinks he has to one up those folks . I don’t think he is a bad sort.
He’s been part of the community since 2018 with no previous problems, so it’s hard to guess what’s triggered his responses.
I’m embarrassed to admit that I never read the new FAQ when pNet transitioned to pCom. It’s well written.

I never read them either, but I agree they’re well written and make perfect sense.
For the most part this has always been a friendly and respectful forum. I would hate to see it go otherwise.
