Favoorite

Fat Elmo
And people got on me
for being “condescending” to this kid. It’s hard not to come across as condescending when you are talking to someone who knows so little but talks so much. When you’ve been paddling, what? 8 months? and then come on a paddling website and tell everyone over and over and over again, and then over and ov er and over again, how much the Pamlico 140 (one of like 2 boats you’ve ever paddled) is the greatest boat ever, you’ve gotta expect a little ribbing.
I’m starting to agree with wkerriganoh, seakak1, and sternsquirt, this kid isn’t for real.

It's exciting and new.
It promises something for everyone.
Pamlico
I remember when you had just been on this site a few weeks, you invited us to join your paddling website and forum. How’s that going? Will the results of this ‘roster’ be published on that?
Feel free to join!
It’s just been me on there! Tsunamichuck posted once, and that’s it.

correction
the yak I’m paddling is a Kajak Sport Artisan Millenium.
My favorite is a Tempest (but I don’t want to get it dirty
My real favorite
Dragorossi Pintail
My sentimental favorite: Riot Disco
Sort of like a car that shuttles itself
Wenonah Escapade in kevlar
I’ve had only a few canoes in my time, and this is the best for paddling more miles solo or tandem, and having an overall good time in the process. Nice looker, too.
Swift Osprey
for solo canoe. MR Malecite for small tandems.
Prijon Barracuda is the winner.
Is cooldocter’s fav the barracuda??
Posted by: Pamlico_140 on Nov-12-06 6:37 PM (EST)
Yes, Master Pamlico, my favorite is the now matsered Barracuda. Why? It has taught me sooo much about paddling. It is a beautiful thing to look at-- all pointy looking. It is smooth and fast. It is red, like a German made sprts car constructed for speed (both of mine are red, in fact). It is tough as nails in blow molded plastic. It is comfortable for me. and it remains a challenging ride in various weather conditions, adding spice to my paddling year round.
I have a query for you, Pamlico. Serious. Every boat has it’s virtues and it’s vices-- you adore the now defunct Pamlico 140 for many reasons. What is the one thing you least like about it? Something that could be better, or that you’d want to modify or change?
Sirius
You own a Sirius?? They are quite the advanced kayak and pretty rare I think. I know of none around here. How long have you owned it and what colour is it??
I love my Capella…bought a new FG
169 Capella a few years ago and i really like the way it performs. It looks real nice as well.
i paddled a mystic once
thats a very cool little boat, responsive and fun to paddle. i’ll take sing’s if he doesn’t want it : )
A little late to play
Looks like I may be a little late to play. This is a hard one, because I don’t paddle these often or at all, but if I could have only one, these are what I’d paddle. I guess that makes them my fav.
Solo Canoe: Bell Wildfire
Tandem Canoe: Freedom 17
Kayak: Dagger Meridian
Ok, add me to the list
Wish I had never sold my Eddyline Merlin LT. The XT is nice too, but the LT was awesome. Perfect length, width, lightweight, loved the low profile (virtually immune to wind), nice looking, ahhhh… the memories come flooding back…
Cockpit was a bit snug and that’s really why I sold it. Now I’ve lost a bit of weight and I think it would fit better. Will probably never buy another one unless I found an awesome deal on a used one. Oh well.
