Not a very common sight in Chicago but hopefully it encourages more to do it!

Little car, little kayak…for now.

Not a pic to add, but when I see rotomolded yaks racked like that, I wonder how many get a bit deformed(slight indent) from saddles or pads…I always carry rotomolded yaks deck down… also helps with wind resistance

Not my boats, but I don’t think there would be any issue for a shuttle. Probably not a good idea to to store them that way all the time with a canoe on top of them.

My two Hornbeck canoes, one between Yakima KeelOvers, the other on Malone SeaWings. I wouldn’t carry a canoe on the SeaWings at highway speeds or very far, but this was 3 miles from home, max speed limit 30 mph.

Going back a few years, this was before I learned about the California Twist–you can put a twist in your straps and eliminate a lot of noise and fluttering without sacrificing strength (thanks, Project Farm!).

Factory flat crossbars on an '04 Legacy, two Canoe Imports cam buckle straps, foam blocks and a generic ratchet to the factory tow hooks.

Every car looks better with a boat on top. Don’t be seen without one!
