Is that your funny bone?
Hmm. 49 pounds is not all that heavy for a 14.5’ x 30" sit on top. And that model is $899 new. Usual CL hyperbola but at least he put a funny spin on it.
I enjoyed the use of “tank-like” as if it were a good thing.

Here’s a good one on PDX currently.
“Has been stored indoors and is in good shape. No cracks or oil canning. Royalex boats are exceptionally durable.”Umm… better take a closer look at the pics…

Worth saving if the price is right.
Kayak? Looks more like a bathtub to me. Only 85 bucks!

Molded-in paddle rests! That has to count for something, doesn’t it?
You would have to pay me $85 to haul that to the recycling yard.
You can wash the kids and the dog in it.

Did it say “needs fixed”?
It would likely say “needs fixed” if the ad was posted in Southwest Pennsylvania. We call that bit of oddball grammar a “yinzer-ism” here in Greater Pittsburgh (the local patois uses the term “you’ns”, pronounced “yinz” for the second person plural, similar to “you’all” in the South.) As in:
“Yinz kayak needs warshed before yinz go dahn-tahn to watch da Stiller football game tonight an 'at”.
If you can translate that, you know Picksburghese!
It’s ‘y’all’… y’all
For big groups it could be “All y’all”…
That is a difficult concept for the non natives. I cringe every time I hear y’all used as singular. It being a contraction for ‘you all’.
Y’all is used for relatively small groups.
“All y’all” was every team Clemson beat last year.
Biggish cockpit on that kayak.
The author might be a Brit.
Yes, you are right. Hadn’t considered that.
I thought about buying that canoe. 13lbs? $500? Might be a great first canoe for me.
