Some Brits call kayaks canoes but I am not aware of them calling a canoe a kayak. Technically that’s a skin on frame pack canoe. There has been one like that for sale in my area lately.
Two person 18’ kayak. :o

Okay, other than that the seller doesn’t know how to photograph boats, what’s humorous about this?
Could be a trick of the light but the red hull looks drastically crushed.
I think that’s just your eyes playing tricks on you. Other than being dirty the hull looks good to me. Not even a lot of scratches.
What about this one in “good condition”? I used to have a Guide 147 and I don’t recall it having that concave hull profile. Maybe this one is designed to be paddled inverted, horsey style:

Might be lens distortion. I see so many optical illusions in photographs; most cameras default to a very wide angle.
The other picture, just showing a closeup of the bottom, doesn’t look misshapen.
I doubt it’s a visual distortion. The light reflections delineate the flattened area pretty clearly.

And the wrinkles in the car cover fabric behind it show that it’s the canoe not the camera
Then there’s this poor guy… been trying to sell this Kevlar Explorer for waaaay too much money for 3 years! (Spokane). Check it out… can you spot the reason besides price?

I noticed that too… look pretty dry. And then I noticed something really loopy about the Kevlar Explorer…
