does look a lot more like royalex than kevlar…

I noticed that too… look pretty dry. And then I noticed something really loopy about the Kevlar Explorer…

You mean - the fact that it’s not kevlar? That’s kind of obvious.

You got it.

Guy’s been trying for 3 freekin years. I tried years ago to tell him he has a Rx boat, but he was having none of it.

Sadly, not to the seller.

I just had to revive this old thread for this winner ad on eBay:

No pictures. No description. Just. A. Used. Kayak. $1000.

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/spo/d/doylestown-kayak/7206133261.html

Someone posted these as “homemade boat paddles” asking $5 for them on Kijiji under Boats & Watercraft - Canoe & Kayak paddles.

Sometimes the poorly written ads with little information can work in your favor.
I went to look at an Old Town Canadienne. It really was kevlar, but the guy did not really notice. It was the shorter version, which I had never seen before, 15’7" with a 32 inch beam.

I looked at it carefully, decided to make a solo boat out of it and gave $250 for it last fall. It had a few crunches which were easily repaired. It is the fastest canoe I have ever paddled.

It’s for a drug deal

Shoot, I wanted the kayak.

Anyway Ppine is right: a poor Craigslist ad was what enabled me to buy my current ride, which I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford.

Nice kayak Just has one minor issue…

Don’t know anything at all about that brand/model, but at that OBO price, it is a “buy” and cheap repair to ensure water tight integrity. Looks like a nice friends & family spare to have around the fleet.

IDK. There’s another local guy offering a Perception 17" fiberglass kayak and a CD Solstice GT High Volume Kevlar for $1000/BO for the pair. No major surgery necessary, supposedly. Thinking about taking a look on Friday, if I can explain to the SO why this is a good idea…

Depends on how rudder dependant that boat is.

Market is heating up in southeastern Massachusetts…

And a custom kayak made from only the best…ducktape…

Someone in my area has been repeatedly posting this “Fibreglass kayak” off and on for probably a year now, still asking $45 for it.

But don’t worry. It’s in his storage warehouse now, so you don’t need to go to the middle of the woods to find it I guess. . . .

Is the raccoon poop ballast still inside?

Since people are posting a lof of “it’s funny because it’s bad/because you’re deluded,” I though I’d lighten things up with this guy. He sells a lot of used canoes, and his are genuinely funny. Here are some examples:
