Wow! You guys get rain in the spring, that’s uncommon here. In fact getting even the historicly normal amount of rain during the year has been rare lately. :frowning:

A great Good Friday to be out on Maryland’s Rhode River.

Where are you @LowTech? Rain in spring here is so expected we have poems about it

Arizona, Sonoran desert.
At least that’s where we are at the moment and often spend the winter.
Rain here is “sometimes” in the winter and then rare until summer when the monsoon starts, if all goes well. In another six weeks or so clouds won’t even be a thing here till the monsoon starts (July).

So nice to see open water. Quite depressing here as temps are running about 20 degrees below normal, it was colder on Easter Day than on Christmas Day and snow continued today. Looks warmer in Alaska!

Is that Patagonia Lake/Sonoita Creek? If so, I’ve birded there in the past, but never paddled it. Very pretty (and birdy!)

It is. There are several boat in only camp spots and sometimes we go there for an overnight. Not many options down here on the south end. Hoping to be farther north in the state this summer.

Paw Paw river SW Michigan yesterday. Flooded area adjacent to main channel.

One spot where the river is overflowing and you can see water running downhill.
