60th anniversary Willard Hanmer Adirondack Guideboat Race, Saranac Lake, NY 7/3/22
Was Guideboat Guy there?
Not sure who he is in real life so maybe! There was a great turnout, I’d say 50 guideboats plus assorted other paddle craft
I don’t think he was there. If those are all the guideboats, I didn’t see either of his. Both are composite, one dark red and one green. Haven’t seen him since we did a little creek paddle together this spring. He didn’t do the Northfork trip in the Ozarks this year. He’s been quiet lately.
That was no where near, I think there were close to 50 over the various events
Thanks for the pictures! They brought back memories of good times to this former Saranac Lake resident. Short season there in the 'daks, but definitely some of the prettiest paddling around.
Beautiful boats, I always wanted to try a guideboat.
I’m a bit disoriented. Are we looking across the sound toward Moran State Park and Mt. Constitution?
Gorgeous in any case!
This was taken at Doe Bay on the upper east (quiet side) of Orcas looking towards Cypress Island…
Got it, thank you.
My lovely bride on a recent paddle
A great paddle esp. if you include Pinckney Island .
New play thing:
