Anclote Key on Saturday. Lots of boat traffic but no other paddlers - it’s a 2.5 mile crossing to the island. Enjoying the pretty water before the summer rains start.

Medicine Lake last Sunday. There is a Sunset Beach on the eastern shore of even a mud puddle. I have pondered what I might look like paddling across that sky.
Now I have a little wall in time to look at.
A lovely lady did not find me so frightening looking that she offered to beam me the shot
she got as soon as I hit the beach. That is the first time and I know I’m in a lot of photos. Medicine Lake lives up to its name.

weather moving in over the Rockies…
the water level is low enough to make it hand-launched boats only, which is always nice, no motors roaring around…

Photos from paddling and sailing this weekend. Absolutely perfect weather here in central FL - sunny, low humidity, no storms.

It’s been raining here and cool. I managed to do some epoxy repairs on my Scamp yesterday. I will check on leaks today. Have my kayak on the roof of the car from our recent trip to Raliegh, NC. Hope to sail tomorrow, and perhaps some paddling too. I am jealous of the clear water on the FL coasts. Love the photos.

A few from Caladesi Island and Fort Desoto this weekend. I donated a lot of blood to the mosquitoes in the mangrove tunnel to get that pic!

Where would the Florida mosquito population be if not for the dedicated blood donors. Their babies thank you.
