Something fun. This is the prize for the winner of the Support Ukraine Raffle that P&H held. It’s a lightweight infused carbon/Kevlar Volan 160. It just came to the Store yesterday and the Winner is picking it up later today.

See you on the water,

Adopted another stray today…a Valley Gemini SP. I was not really looking to add to my pound, but this rare pup popped up.Rarely see this breed, locally. Had to bring it home.Looking forward to getting it in the surf, in the spring.

How many pups are in your pound now?

Valley Nordkapp LV, NDK Pilgrim Exp., Stellar Intrepid LV, Eddyline Raven, WS Zephyr 155, Dagger Alchemy S, a couple old WW yaks, a canoe and now the Gemini. So ~ 10 currently. Not including my fathers fleet. Most likely will sell a couple off, in the spring.

Found it used on craigslist for a good price. It’s a PaddleYak Swift Hybrid Double made in Cape Town, South Africa. I have done some internal foam additions, added perimeter lines, bungees, and removable backrests. It’s fiberglass, 19.5 feet long, and the weight is stated as 62 pounds/28kilos.

Here’s a link to info on this model kayak.

And then…. this happened. It’s gonna be our “cheater rolling boat” to continue learning Greenland skills, which we can then hopefully transfer to our sea kayaks. Now I just need to find a spray skirt for it!

Good Dog. Treat yourself to a Tuilik !!

Thank you, yeah, I’m considering spray skirt vs tuilik vs akuilisak…. It’s hard to know what to buy when one is a newb and has barely tried out the latter two.
